Gemini-nominated journalist Krista Erickson started her career in her hometown of Winnipeg in 1999. She quickly rose up to take over hosting duties for CBC Manitoba’s supper hour newscast CBC News at Six in 2004.  Over the years, she made frequent appearances on The National and Marketplace – culminating with a posting to CBC’s Parliamentary bureau as a network correspondent in 2006 where she specialized in public safety and national security issues and consumer affairs.  In late 2010 she joined Sun Media as a founding anchor to the newly formed Sun News Network.  When the national network launched in April of 2011, she debuted as anchor of the signature afternoon show Canada Live – which runs from 3:00 to 5:00pm ET on weekdays.  Her take-no-prisoners style has earned her plenty of attention and has brought a refreshing dose of excitement to the Canadian media landscape.
